SHEFFIELD’S EX ABOUT TO DROP $50M LAWSUIT: Sex Tapes, Drug House & City Hall Allegations
Detroit City Hall has another mess on its hands.
Marvin Walker — former boyfriend of Detroit Mayor Mary Sheffield — is preparing a $50 million lawsuit packed with allegations: intimate recordings, illicit payments, work inside an alleged unlicensed marijuana grow operation, use of a city-issued car, and claims that powerful people at City Hall tried to strong-arm him into deleting evidence.
And then there’s Police Chief Todd Bettison.
Walker alleges Bettison and others participated in a campaign of harassment after Walker refused to turn over or delete material involving Sheffield. Meanwhile, an Internal Affairs investigation is digging into who leaked documents from inside the Detroit Police Department.
Sheffield says investigations should be allowed to play out and has previously denied allegations of improper payments.
